If you have an EV and have gone on a long road trip, you know this one thing to be true, you need a number of different apps on your smart phone. If you're thinking about purchasing an EV save this list of apps for future use, they'll come in handy!

Apps we swear by (Ontario focus):

• Plug Share: this app shows you all the publicly available Level 2 and Level 3 chargers across North America. We highly recommend this app if you're planning on driving anywhere that you aren't familiar with. The app will integrate with your maps to help navigate to chargers, and the public comment feature is invaluable. Fellow EV drivers comment their experience with a given plug and share information about whether or not it is working. This can save you a TON of time by allowing you to pick a charger that is most likely working well. You can also see if someone is actively charging there and if you would have to wait (as long as other drivers 'check in').
